Elderberry Sambucus American Native Shrub
Sambucus niger canadensis, American Elderberry, or sometimes called American Elder or Elder Berry, is a native shrub or small tree with large white lacey flower clusters in late spring or early summer.
Dark Purple or Black clusters of berries develop in summer.
Berries are reportedly good for making jelly, pies, or wine. (Many recipes can be found online.)
