Yucca filimentosa Adam's Needle Color Guard Variegated Plant

Yucca filimentosa. Adam's Needle. Evergreen perennial succulent that is very drought tolerant. Fragrant white bloom spikes in summer. Price Includes Priority Mail delivery. 

'Color Guard' - Bold central stripes bright yellow with blue-green margins. The sword shaped leaves develop a pink tint in cold weather.

Hardiness: USDA Zones 4a-10b.

Site: Full sun with well-drained soil.

Mature Height: 20 inches tall, but bloom spike in summer can be up to 6 feet tall.

Single digit temperatures this year (January, 2014) did not even bother these plants. Likewise, hot summers around 100 degrees had no effect on them. That's what I call a versatile plant.

Uses: Containers, xeriscape, desert, any dry sun area.
