Orders are still suspended due to my health. I finished all the chemotherapy treatments, but I have additional problems which prevent me from being able to process orders. I have major surgery again in April, and I'm told I will be laid up for up to 6 weeks for recovery. As it looks right now, I might be able to do some things by mid summer, but these plants cannot be shipped in the summer heat. Expect me to be back at it by Fall.operations sometime in late Spring. If you place an order, we will have to cancel it since we don't know when I will be able to ship plants. I apologize for this inconvenience. I appreciate your consideration and prayers.
Our specialty is native plants, but we also seek out other rare and unusual plants worthy to be in your garden. At Shady Gardens Nursery, you will find rare Native Azaleas, Bigleaf Magnolias, Sweet Shrub, Gordonia, and Grancy Graybeard, as well as Daphne, Rohdea, and Hellebores. We also have a unique collection of Garden Gifts and Decor that includes one-of-a-kind Haitian Art, Iron Garden Decor, Garden Stakes and Hose Guides.
We now offer free shipping with no minimum order required. We do not ship bareroot, but we do remove the pot prior to shipping. We ship by USPS Priority Mail or UPS, our choice. Fall is by far the best time for shipping plants, but we do ship year round. When purchasing in summer, please remember that summer shipping can be tough on plants and plants shipped in summer heat might arrive with wilted or discolored leaves.
During the Fall, Winter, and Spring, we ship all orders quickly, but please allow 7-10 days for delivery. If delayed shipping is preferred in your case, let us know when you place your order by declaring that in the Special Instructions section of your order form. If you overlook that spot, just send us an email. Please contact us if you have any questions about our shipping practices. Shady Gardens Nursery is an online mail order nursery and not open to the public without an appointment.
Your order might experience a delay in shipping during peak times of Spring or Fall and periods of summer heat or incliment weather in any season. If we intend to hold your order for shipping at a later time, we will contact you by email.
